The incident occurred just before 11 am (local time) at Crosspointe Community Church in Wayne, a city of about 17,000 people located west of Detroit.According to pastor Bobby Kelly Jr, about 150 people, including children, were in attendance when the gunman suddenly opened fire during the service.Viral video captures terrifying momentsA video of the church service shows the congregation seated and applauding, moments before chaos erupts. A sudden shout from the back causes people to look around in confusion. Within seconds, panic takes hold, adults and children duck beneath the seats, and some begin to flee as the sound of gunfire fills the sanctuary.Pastor Kelly told The Detroit News that during the shooting, a church member ran over the gunman with his truck, briefly incapacitating him.
